1. Do you need a Vietnam Tourist Visa (VTV)?
Before jumping to conclusion that you need a VTV, please look at the list below of Countries Exempt from the Visa to enter Vietnam:

2. First way to obtaining a VTV:
Pay a visit to a nearby Vietnamese Embassy and apply directly and get a visa stamp on your passport.
Your passport must be at least SIX MONTH valid prior to your proposed date of exit from Vietnam (ex. Visa issued for 1st – 30th March, 2018, passport expiration date must be from 30th September, 2018 onwards).
Photo must be taken within 6 months.
Processing time: 5-7 working days
3. Obtain a VTV on Arrival:
If you live far away from a Vietnam Embassy and do not want to lose the documents (such as passport, money or documents) by postal mail or traffic jam once visiting Vietnam Embassy, you can pick up your visa at one of these Vietnam International Airports.

STEP 1: Get a Pre-Approval Letter
Without this step, you CANNOT board your flight and get VTV issued on arrival.

STEP 2: Get a VTV on Arrival
Passengers should prepare the following documents to get a Visa Stamp at the airport:
– Pre-Approval Letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department (which had been sent to your email prior to your flight)
– Immigration Form (available at the airport)
– Passport not expiring within the next 6 months, with at least 2 blank pages
– Two 4×6 photos with white background and no glasses on, taken within 6 months
– Stamping fee (paid at the airport)
